The concept of “Seavolution” consists of the English words “sea" and "evolution", which stand for the progress and ground-breaking scientific and technological developments presented at the German Pavilion.

Beginning with the pre-show, a path leads through the three exhibition sections - coast, habitat and treasury - and ends in a spectacular main show. A German restaurant with typical decorations, a gift-shop, offices for staff, a VIP-lounge and functional areas complete the offer.

In addition to the basic requirements, such as floors, walls and lighting system, complex technical equipment is needed to enable projections and animations for the thematic areas in "Seavolution“.
Additionally an acoustic insulation wall was set up to separate areas. Here true craftsmanship is just as important as the engineering expertise, explains CEO and industrial engineer Claus Holtmann.
Another challenge is always the complete logistics management. All materials and goods needed for the show must be there in right time: shipping, customs clearance and transportation to the site can be a hard task.

The German Pavilion received the Gold Award in the category Best Theme Development. An international jury with members of the BIE highlighted the high technical standard of the exhibition in the German Pavilion.

The concept was developed by facts + fiction GmbH and GTP architects with Holtmann as the main contractor.
