MSB stands for Multi-Service Buildings and is the temporary infrastructure building system developed for Expo 2000 in Hanover.

By dividing the space in public and non-public areas and through different types of construction, the attractiveness of the site was increased. As a result ten well designed wood and glass buildings were developed and built. In total an area of 100.000m².

It was the second largest single project of Expo 2000 and at every stage a maximum of flexibility and skills were required. It was the ambition to lead this project to a success that kept everyone going.

As leading partner of the consortium called Pergola, Holtmann coordinated the team of experts for temporary buildings, interior design and construction architects. Even during the bidding phase requirements kept changing, this made a large and well organized team even more necessary.

Finally, this successful team met the design requirements and wishes of the EXPO Company, and also qualified itself to handle the complete realization with budget controlling, quality, time and logistics management.
