German Telekom used the cube to communicate its core business at an exposed place at the Expo site. The 16 x 16 x 16 m cube was placed at the intersection of the east-west and north-south axis of the exhibition site and quickly became one of the most popular meeting points. Nearly everyone took a rest on the outdoor steps by the EXPO bridge to watch the latest news or a soccer game on the 214 m² giant screen.

Although this was a building of high architectural and engineering standards, it attracted through the difference to other pavilions. Instead of inviting inside, here news and television were spread outside over huge screens.

When the final decision was made at the end of October ‘99, time was already running. By that time others had already finished their planning phase, we were only few months before the event was officially to start.
After the basement was built, every following stage needed to hurry. Nothing was allowed to go wrong, no work should have failed. Finally the T-Digit with all its components was completed precisely on time.
